Aceves Promoted
Minor league pitcher Alfredo Aceves was promoted to AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tonight, making that two levels in about half a season. Don't think this guy is some kind of prodigy, he is 25 years old, and pitched in the Mexican League last year, which is about equal to AAA in America. Aceves is having a great season but he is by no means a prospect, and may never help the Yankees at the big league level.

and yet opposing scouts along with Cashman think he may help after the all star break. you don't have to be 22 yrs old and have prospect hype to help.
I didn't really mean to say that there's no way he'll help this year. I'm saying we shouldn't be too excited at this point because up to this point, he was pitching at a lower level than he pitched last year.
he'll show u that hes a great picher ... he is a picher who knows what hes doing
