The Padres have been largely unsuccesful in working out a trade with the Cubs or Braves as has been strongly rumored. This puts the Angels and Yankees back into the mix. Now night Tower's demands be lowered to something more reasonable?

David Pinto suggests a trade of Igawa, Kennedy, and an outfielder for Peavy. I`d be shocked if that happened. However, if that outfielder is Jackson then it may be fairly realistic. Might Towers repeat the mistake that the Twins made with Santana last year? I`m dreaming of a rotation of Sabathia-Peavy-Wang-Mussina-Chamberlain now.....
