Red Sox after Texiera

The "Little Engine that Could" will be pushing hard for Mark Texiera this year. Scott Boras has to love this. It looks like things may be set up for a Yankees-Red Sox bidding war. This makes me even more sure Texiera will get a bigger contract then he`s worth.

Now, the Red Sox already have fierce team leader, Kevin Youkillis, at first base so if Texiera were signed he would have to move to third base. This would mean Mike Lowell would be traded as well. Remember way back when Boston fans were talking about how they wanted Lowell over the expensive star, A-Rod? I guess things have changed.

Heh how have things changed? Just because some idiot reporter says that the Sox are pursuing Teixeira doesn't mean that fans want Lowell gone.

(That genius from Newsday also said the Red Sox should make a push for Saltalamacchia. It's pretty apparent to anyone that watches baseball that Saltalamacchia won't be a major league catcher. His article is pretty much worthless and just dumb speculation :\)

Pretty much all articles at this time of year are dumb speculation. Writers have to meet their deadlines so they try to think of things that may be true, but you have to take it with a grain of salt

dude read some stuff from sox blogs. They`re going crazy over texiera. If Boston ever really was this scrappy underdog team, that`s over.
