Yankees Win!

Well, it wasn't the way they hoped it would be but the Yankees got their first win at the new stadium yesterday. Joba didn't turn in his best performance of the year. He struggled with his control in what is becoming a theme for these Yankees starters. However, the bullpen picked up the slack and managed over four scoreless innings. Albaladejo, Bruney, Coke, and Mariano all looked good. All day they struggled to get the big hit with men on base but Cano, Melky (!), Damon, Jeter, and Teixeira all had homers. This accounted for all but one of their six runs. Nady's injury probably means Melky might get another chance after all. Rivera made it interesting in the 9th but hung on for the first save of the year.
