Yankees Are "Serious Bidders" for Top Cuban SS Prospect

According to Geroge King, the Yankees are looking heavily at shortstop prospect Adeinis Hechavarria. Rob from BBD explains this well in his post here.

Apparently the Yanks like him more than Miguel Sano, another top IFA shortstop prospect. There's not much info but he's older than Miguel being 19 years old. He also might command a 7-8 million dollar contract comparable to the 8 million the Red Sox gave to Jose Iglesias.

If the Yankees really like him then they should go for it. There's not much good shortstop prospects in the Yankees farm system. With the farm taking blows with the losses of Arodys Vizcaino, Mike Dunn and Austin Jackson I wouldn't mind an impact prospect at all.
