LaTroy Hawkins Traded to Astros

Recently DFA'd LaTroy Hawkins has been traded to the Houston Astros for Matt Cusick. Cusick is a 22 year old second baseman currently in A-ball. I don't know what level he will play at for the Yankees, but here is some background info on him: He was a tenth-round pick out USC in 2007. While at USC, he had an OPS over .800 all three years he played there, including a .970 OPS his second year. Last year he had an .807 OPS in 92 games at Low-A. So far in High-A this year, he has an .832 OPS.

Game 70: Yankees at Astros

The lineups from Pete Abe:

YANKEES (36-33)
Damon CF
Jeter SS
Matsui LF
Rodriguez 3B
Giambi 1B
Posada C
Cano 2B
Cabrera RF
Wang RHP

ASTROS (33-36)
Pence RF
Erstad 1B
Tejada SS
Lee LF
Blum 3B
Loretta 2B
Bourn CF

The slumping Bobby Abreu gets the day off, as Damon shifts over to center and Melky to right. The Yanks look to improve to season high four games over .500.
