Comic: Angel Meltdown

The Yankees came back to win today in a thriller vs the Halos. The Yankees started off the game hot, scoring 4 in the first inning. Swisher was then hit by a pitch in the same inning which cooled off the Yanks (pictured above). The x-rays came back negative (good thing) so he is day to day for now. From there the Angles then went on to score in the 6th and 7th due to Peittitte being left in and Veras. The Yankees then staged a comeback based in the 8th and 9th innings. Scoring 4 in the 8th to bring the game to within one run. The Yankees headed into the 9th and delivered. Fuentes loaded up the bases with no outs and Posada hit the game winner to left. This was almost the toughest loss of the year but then blossomed into a gritty win.

Pettitte Struggles Again

Pettitte's second half struggles have been a dissapointment. I still would like him back as a fifth starter. However, right now I`m starting to second guess myself. The bullpen did very well. Coke has been especially impressive to me. Its always good to have a lot of depth in the bullpen. They`ll get Melancon and others who will get chances as well next year.

The Yankees are in 12th place in all of baseball now. I doubt they`ll be able to drop far enough to get a protected first round pick but their's always hope.

Congratulations to the Angels on clinching the division. Good luck to them in the playoffs. Especially if they play Boston in the first round.
