My Ticket Bill Has Arrived

Well after an offseason of worrying that I would not get my Yankee ticket plan (which I have had for 11 years) back because of the new stadium. Today however my bill has come and though they moved my seats, I am content. I used to have seats in the back row on the bottom floor of the 3rd base side. Now I have been moved to some of my favorite seats in the ballpark. Section 421, Row 12 seats, 11-14. The upper deck (especially near the middle) gives a great view of the entire field. Also people up there are just all around funnier. Here is an idiot proof map:

For a 15 game saturday plan (4 seats) the total is $1,525.

Did I get swindled: Yes
I just want to have tickets in the new ballpark but I do not condone what the Yankees are doing to the loyal little guy.

All Star Ticket Pre-Sale Today

UPDATE: I have just received and e-mail telling me that the All-Star Game has been SOLD OUT.....I got on line at 10, when the pre-sale started and I was still unable to get ticket for it......CRAZY. There goes 7+ hours of my life.

UPDATE (5:08): SEVEN HOURS!!!!! STILL WAITING

UPDATE (3:09): Five hours later still nothing.

All Star Game ticket pre-sale begins today and for two and a half hours I have been dozing in front of my computer screen just waiting for my pre-sale password. I already have tickets to the celebrity softball game and that is all that I really want to see (sarcasm). P-Diddy (or Diddy or Puff Daddy whatever you want to call that hooligan) swinging at an oversized ball is not what i had in mind for my All-Star break.

Here it is Ladies and Gentlemen. The new Yankee Stadium seating cart. This chart shows us that there are now 21 different levels of seating. Can someone please explain the difference of Club Suite and Party Suite to me? Also there are a lot more suites.

3.8 MILLION TICKETS SOLD

YANKEES REACH 3.8 MILLION TICKETS SOLD FOR THE 2008 SEASON; MARKS RECORD PACE IN FINAL SEASON AT CURRENT YANKEE STADIUM

Beautiful words from the Yankees front office. The greatest sports team in the world has exceeded 3.8 million tickets sold for the '08 season and they are the earliest club to do so, the current tally is 400,000 tickets ahead of the Yankees’ total on the same date last year.

“Even with historic advance sales, tickets remain available for most games,” said Yankees Chief Operating Officer Lonn Trost. “I encourage fans to join us at Yankee Stadium throughout 2008 to celebrate the 84th and final season of Baseball at The House That Ruth Built.”

Looks the Yankees won't have any trouble funding the new stadium

(Sorry about the shortage of posts.....Spring Training isn't very eventful and we have been busy)

Individual tickets for 2008 New York Yankees regular season home games—in what is the final regular season at the current Yankee Stadium—will go on sale Friday, February 29, online only at www.yankees.com and www.yankeesbeisbol.com.

Beginning Monday, March 3, tickets may also be purchased at Yankee Stadium Advance Ticket Windows, at all area Ticketmaster outlets, via Ticketmaster by phone at (212) 307-1212 (or check local listing) and at all Yankees Clubhouse Shops.

The 26-time-World Champion New York Yankees will begin the 2008 season—the 106th in franchise history—at home on Monday, March 31 at 1:05 p.m. vs. the Toronto Blue Jays. This season will mark the 86th year since construction was completed on the original Stadium in 1923 and the 84th regular season of baseball played on its grounds. The Yankees’ 1974-75 regular seasons were played at Shea Stadium as Yankee Stadium was remodeled.

As a result, there will be a four-ticket limit, per person, per Premium Game. The term “Premium Games” is defined as the Opening Day game, the Old-Timers’ Day game, the final three (3) scheduled regular season games scheduled to be played at Yankee Stadium, and all games played against the following teams: (i) Boston Red Sox, and (ii) New York Mets. For full official rules regarding the purchase of Premium Games tickets, please visit www.yankees.com. In addition, there will be a 12-ticket limit, per person, per game for all other non-Premium Games.
