Not Everybody Makes It

It pains me to write this but I just read on Pete Abraham's blog that J.B. Cox will be retiring. I remember when Cox, Hughes, and Tyler Clippard were the crown jewels of theYankees farm system. Hughes as the ace, Clippard as a solid #2, and Cox as the next great Yankees closer. Clippard and Cox are tough reminders that most prospects, no matter how well touted, end up as busts.
